Build Your Surveying Career on Sydney’s Major Infrastructure Projects
Geosurv is expanding its surveying team following the award of significant multi-year project opportunities across Sydney Metro West and other major Tier 1 infrastructure projects across NSW.
We are seeking experienced Project Surveyors and Senior Surveyors who want more than their next job — this is an opportunity to build long-term project experience across major rail, station and infrastructure packages while progressing your career within a growing surveying and geospatial business.
The Role
- Reporting to the Survey Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery and ensuring projects are completed safely, accurately, on time and to client expectations.
- Deliver control, topographic, detail, as-built, and construction surveys across a range of projects
- Establish and maintain survey control networks using Leica equipment including total stations, GNSS GPS, and digital levelling
- Process field data and produce accurate plans, reports, and project deliverables
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and client requirements while ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Manage project documentation, QA, variations, timesheets, and client portal uploads
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on project progress, resources, delays, and site issues
- Complete final QA reviews and approve plans prior to client issue
- Mentor junior surveyors and support team development
- Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services and business growth
- Maintain high safety standards, WHS compliance, and contribute positively to team culture
About You
You are an experienced and confident surveyor who can work independently, lead projects and support junior team members while maintaining exceptional technical standards.
Essential Requirements
- Diploma in Surveying (minimum qualification)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Solid knowledge of survey regulations and industry standards
- Experience with control networks, post-processing, and least squares adjustment
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and 12D
- Strong technical competency using Leica equipment (Total Station, GNSS, Digital Level)
- Excellent planning, problem-solving and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions onsite
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- White Card
