Play a key role in delivering funding programs that create lasting impact for the City and community.
As Senior Sponsorship and Grants Officer, you’ll lead the delivery of transparent, best-practice grants and sponsorship programs that support community, cultural and economic outcomes across Perth. Working with senior stakeholders, funding partners and internal teams, you’ll build high-value relationships, identify commercial opportunities, strengthen governance and drive continuous improvement, ensuring every investment delivers maximum value for the City and community.
Reporting to the Coordinator Sponsorship and Grants, your responsibilities would primarily include:
- Build and manage strategic partnerships that deliver robust community and commercial outcomes.
- Lead the administration of grants and sponsorship programs with a focus on governance and customer experience.
- Identify and maximise marketing, communications and sponsorship opportunities across funded initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement of systems, processes and policies to enhance program performance.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Extensive experience managing diverse sponsorship and grants programs.
- Strong understanding of marketing, communications, and sponsorship practices within commercial or government environments.
- Sound knowledge of governance frameworks, funding processes, and policies relating to community investment and grant administration.
- Well-developed research, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written communication and report-writing skills,
with the ability to provide clear and insightful advice to support decision-making.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, including the ability to negotiate outcomes, resolve issues, and influence diverse audiences.

Eligibility
To be eligible to work for us, you will need to demonstrate:
- A right to work in Australia (e.g. a birth certificate, current passport or current visa);
- A current ‘C’ class Australian drivers licence; and
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months).
