About the role

Pharmacists at Luna Dispensary support safe, compliant, patient-centred access to all proprietary medications and in particular medicinal cannabis products under the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) framework. This role blends clinical pharmacy expertise with compassionate care, ensuring every patient receives evidence-based guidance, legally compliant dispensing, and a calm, supportive experience aligned with Luna's clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

- Dispense prescriptions in accordance with State and National guidelines and legislative requirements

- Dispense medicinal cannabis prescriptions in accordance with WA legislation, TGA requirements, and Luna Dispensary SOPs

- Review prescriptions, SAS-B approvals, and Authorised Prescriber documentation prior to supply

- Conduct medication history reviews to identify interactions, contraindications, and patient specific risks

- Provide structured counselling on all medications and be confident in cannabinoid profiles, dosage forms, titration, onset/offset characteristics, and protected use

- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and dispensing records

- Deliver clear, empathetic education tailored to patient needs and health literacy levels

- Support recent patients with onboarding, follow-up calls, and ongoing monitoring





- Maintain current knowledge of TGA regulations, WA Poisons Act requirements, and evolving medicinal cannabis standards

- Oversee inventory management including ordering, stock rotation, and discrepancy reporting

About you

- Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) with current AHPRA registration

- Strong understanding of TGA SAS-B and Authorised Prescriber pathways

- Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centred counselling and clinical support

- First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate

- High attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance

- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate clinical information into patient-friendly language

- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

- Experience in medicinal cannabis, chronic pain, neurology, mental health, or integrative medicine (desirable)
