Our Narrogin office is looking for a driven and motivated Counsellor to join our WCADS team on a 30-37.5 hour per week basis.
About the role
- You will provide client assessments, plannings, interventions and case management.
- You will conduct intake, screening, and psychosocial assessments of both walk-in or referred consumers.
- You will utilise extensive cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) theories and methods to assist participants of the program with issues relating to AOD use and other behaviours.
- You will develop and maintain professional and up to date client records and data.
- You will write professional and timely client reports outlining program engagement
- You will form part of a growing, diverse, and passionate team who are making a difference in the community.
- You will Maintain accurate consumer records, activity data and required system entries to support reporting, compliance and program evaluation requirements.
This is a flexible role where the successful candidate can work between 30 and 37.5 hours per week. The role is based at our Narrogin office , with the flexibility to work from other Holyoake locations on occasion.
About you
- You hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or similar.
- You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals experiencing mental health distress, suicide risk and/or AOD comorbidity.
- You have excellent organisation and interpersonal skills.
- You have a strong understanding of culturally secure practice when working with Aboriginal people, ACCOs and regional communities.
- You have demonstrated experience working in community and/or outreach settings, preferably in regional or rural contexts (desirable)
- You hold or can obtain a current National Police Clearance
