About the opportunity

St Vincent's Private Hospital Brisbane is seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our Food Services team on a casual basis .

About you

You're someone who enjoys preparing quality food, takes pride in your work and understands the impact a good meal can have on a patient's day.

You'll bring

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent recognised qualification
- Current Food Safety/Food Handling certification
- Minimum two years' experience in a cooking role
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, hygiene, infection control and food safety practices
- Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirements and safe manual handling practices
- Previous experience within healthcare or aged care environments (desirable)




- Availability to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends
