The Role

The Production & Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading Brisbane manufacturing and warehouse operation to achieve safety, quality, service, productivity and financial objectives.

The position will oversee all filter manufacturing, assembly, warehousing, inventory control, dispatch and continuous improvement activities. The role will ensure customer orders are produced efficiently and delivered in full & on time while maintaining Camfil's high standards of quality, safety and customer satisfaction.

The Production & Warehouse Manager will lead a team of approximately nine direct reports consisting of Production Operators and Storepersons and will be responsible for workforce planning, performance management, employee development and operational execution including supplier management.

The position plays a critical role in supporting Camfil's growth in the education, healthcare, commercial building and mechanical services sectors throughout Australia.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management

• Lead, develop and coach production and warehouse employees to achieve operational objectives.

• Create a positive, engaged and safety-focused culture.

• Conduct performance reviews, development planning and regular performance discussions.

• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and training of new employees.

• Manage attendance, leave, overtime and workforce planning requirements.

• Promote teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.

• Ensure appropriate succession planning and skills development across the operation.

Production Management

• Manage daily production schedules to ensure customer delivery commitments are achieved.

• Plan labour, equipment and materials to maximise productivity and efficiency.

• Monitor production output, labour utilisation and manufacturing performance.

• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.





• Develop and maintain production procedures and work instructions.

• Ensure manufacturing activities meet Camfil quality standards and customer specifications.

• Drive improvements in productivity, waste reduction and operational performance.

• Manage production capacity planning to support forecast business growth.

Inventory & Warehouse Management

• Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing and dispatch.

• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stocktake processes.

• Drive inventory optimisation while maintaining customer service levels.

• Monitor stock movements and replenishment requirements.

• Manage warehouse layout and storage systems to ensure efficiency and safety.

• Ensure accurate inventory transactions within ERP and inventory management systems.

• Coordinate freight providers and transport activities.

Quality Management

• Ensure all products are manufactured in accordance with customer specifications and Camfil standards.

• Investigate quality concerns and implement corrective actions.

• Develop processes that minimise defects and rework.

• Drive a culture of quality ownership throughout the operation.

• Monitor and report on key quality performance indicators.

Operational Planning & Continuous Improvement

• Establish and monitor KPI metrics including:

o On-time delivery

o Inventory accuracy

o Production efficiency

o Labour productivity

o Quality performance

o Safety performance

o Cost management

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

• Lead operational improvement projects.

• Support implementation of new products and manufacturing processes.

• Drive lean manufacturing and warehouse best practices.

Customer Service & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Sales, Customer Service and Operations teams to ensure customer expectations are met.

• Support major projects and customer delivery requirements.

• Resolve operational issues impacting customer service.

• Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Financial Management

• Manage operational expenditure within approved budgets.

• Monitor labour and operational costs.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service.

• Support inventory and working capital management objectives.

• Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

Technical Knowledge Requirements

The successful candidate should demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in:

• Manufacturing and assembly operations

• Warehouse and inventory management





• Lean Manufacturing principles

• Continuous Improvement methodologies

• Production planning and scheduling

• ERP systems and reporting tools

• Air filtration products and HVAC systems (preferred)

• Mechanical services industry (preferred)

• Demand forecasting and capacity planning

• Root cause analysis and problem solving

• Quality systems and process control

• Workplace Health and Safety legislation

• Industrial relations and people management practices

• Freight and transport coordination

Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing, warehouse or operations leadership.

• Proven experience managing warehouse and manufacturing operations.

• Experience leading and developing frontline operational teams.

• Demonstrated success implementing operational improvements.

• Experience working with ERP and inventory management systems.

• Experience within manufacturing, industrial products, HVAC, building services, construction supply or related industries preferred.

• Financial and budget management experience desirable.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Leadership experience within manufacturing or warehouse operations.

• Robust computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite.

• Current Driver's Licence.
