Position: Podiatrist

Employer: Best Step Forward Pty Ltd trading as Bluey Mobile Health Group

Salary: AUD $90,000 to $110,000 plus superannuation

Employment Type: Full time

Location: Based across Melbourne and Geelong with mobile services provided to clients across surrounding areas

Bluey Mobile Health Group is a growing multidisciplinary allied health provider delivering high-quality clinical care in the comfort of clients’ homes.

Our multidisciplinary team includes experienced Podiatrists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists who work collaboratively to provide accessible, client-centred allied health services within the community.

We provide home-visit allied health services to a diverse client base across Melbourne and surrounding areas, including clients receiving services through Home Care Packages (HCP), Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC), the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), as well as private clients.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Podiatrist to join our mobile allied health team. The successful applicant will provide comprehensive podiatry assessment, treatment and ongoing management to clients in their homes and community settings while working closely with our multidisciplinary clinical and administration teams.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

- Conducting comprehensive podiatric assessments to identify, diagnose and manage conditions affecting the feet and lower limbs.
- Assessing patients’ medical history, mobility, circulation, neurological status, biomechanics and other factors relevant to foot and lower-limb health.
- Developing and implementing individualised podiatry treatment and management plans based on clinical assessments and clients’ individual needs.
- Diagnosing,



treating and managing a range of foot and lower-limb conditions, including skin and nail disorders, musculoskeletal and biomechanical conditions.
- Providing routine and preventative podiatric care, including the treatment and management of nail, skin and other common foot conditions.

Key Responsibilities

- Assessing and managing clients who may be at increased risk of foot complications, including clients with diabetes and other chronic health conditions.
- Providing wound assessment and appropriate podiatric management within the practitioner’s scope of practice.
- Assessing clients’ gait, mobility and lower-limb biomechanics and recommending appropriate treatment strategies.
- Prescribing or recommending appropriate footwear, orthoses, padding and other podiatric interventions where clinically indicated.
- Providing education and advice to clients, families and caregivers regarding foot care, footwear, mobility, prevention and ongoing management.
- Monitoring clients’ progress and reviewing and modifying treatment plans where required.




- Liaising and collaborating with General Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated and holistic client care.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, reports and relevant communications.
- Providing podiatry services in clients’ homes and other community settings across the allocated service area.
- Maintaining professional and clinical standards and complying with applicable regulatory, workplace health and safety, infection control and organisational requirements.

Skill & Experience

Skills and Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

- A recognised Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Podiatry, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 1 year of relevant professional experience as a Podiatrist, with additional relevant experience in private practice, community, mobile or high-risk podiatry highly regarded.
- Current registration as a Podiatrist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Sound clinical assessment, diagnostic and treatment skills across a broad range of podiatric conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a mobile/community healthcare environment while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and clinical documentation skills.
- A current valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel to clients within the allocated service area.
- Current National Police Check.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and NDIS training modules
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), where required.
- Compliance with applicable vaccination and health requirements for healthcare workers.
