GrevilleHR

Newcastle

Casual, two to three days a week, with the intention to move to permanent part-time. Work from home anywhere in New South Wales. $59 per hour plus superannuation.

Strong workplaces, stronger communities

GrevilleHR backs the people who change lives. We are the embedded human resources partner for NDIS, aged care and community services providers across Australia. We work with heart, because cared for people deliver great care, and that starts with how we treat the staff, managers and candidates we work with every day.

We are a small, fast moving practice and we are growing quickly. Our clients’ needs come first, always, and we give real advice from real people: honest, practical and acted on the same day. We need an HR Partner in New South Wales who works the same way.

About the role

You will be the human resources partner our clients’ managers call first. Working with our Founder and our delivery lead, you will:

- Partner with a portfolio of NDIS, aged care and community services clients and be their outsourced human resources function, starting with one established client relationship in New South Wales and growing from there.

- Own pay and classification under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award and the Aged Care Award: classification reviews, pay point progression, casual conversion and permanency, and contract variations. Get it right, because the people we classify are the people who deliver care.

- Manage workers compensation claims and return to work plans with insurers, treating practitioners and managers, so injured staff come back well and come back soon.

- Coach managers on performance, probation, leave, flexible work and restructures, with honest, practical advice they can act on the same day.

- Run the shared human resources inbox with our delivery lead, so every query has an owner and a date.

- Work from our client work register. Every piece of client work has one owner and a target date, you keep your items current, and you contribute to the Monday client pack so clients always know where their matters stand. The register is how we run the practice, not an afterthought.

- Oversee recruitment and onboarding for client vacancies with our recruitment lead, including NDIS Worker Screening Checks.

- Produce the monthly human resources report and Board-ready papers on workforce matters.

- Use artificial intelligence tools every day to draft, analyse and summarise, and bring us better ways of working. We would rather you tell us a process is ordinary than keep doing it.

- Take on projects, audits, policy work and new clients as they arrive. No two weeks will look the same, and the pace is quick.

Workplace investigations and complex employee relations matters are handled by our industrial relations specialist, so your focus is partnering, advising and delivery.

About you

- Three or more years in generalist human resources, ideally in NDIS, disability, aged care or community services, with detailed working knowledge of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award and the Fair Work Act.

- Hands-on experience managing workers compensation claims and return to work, ideally in New South Wales.

- Genuine. You give real advice to real people, you say what you think, and managers trust you because of it.

- Committed. Clients’ needs come first, and you keep your promises on time, every time.

- Comfortable with pace. You can carry several clients and several matters in the same week, switch between them without dropping anything, and tell people early when something is at risk.

- Organised by habit. You update the register as you go, you never leave an item without an owner or a date, and you would rather flag a slipping deadline on Monday than explain it on Friday.

- Strong, practical skill with artificial intelligence tools such as Claude or Microsoft Copilot. You use them daily, you can show us how, and you want to get better at it.

- Solutions focused. You take on the complicated matter, work it through and come back with options and a recommendation, not a list of reasons it cannot be done. No challenge is too big.

- Never ordinary. You notice when a process is slower or clumsier than it should be, you fix it,

and you share the fix with the team. Continuous improvement is a habit for you, not a project.

- Able to work independently from home, learn a client business quickly, and travel to client sites in New South Wales regularly and interstate occasionally.

- Tertiary qualification in human resources, business or a related field, or equivalent experience. Australian HR Institute membership is welcome.

What we offer

- $59 per hour plus 12 per cent superannuation.

- Two to three days a week to start as a casual, with the intention to move to a permanent part-time role once established, and scope to grow as our client base grows.

- Work from home with genuine flexibility in how your days are arranged, and work related travel reimbursed.

- Real ownership and variety. You will carry client relationships and projects yourself, not support someone else who does.

- A small, quick moving team where your work is visible, your advice is acted on, and your ideas change how we work.

- Direct mentoring from a Senior HR Partner with more than 20 years in NDIS, aged care and community services.

- The best tools available, including artificial intelligence, so your time goes into judgement rather than paperwork.

Our values

Purpose: backing those who change lives. Commitment: your needs come first, always. Genuine: real people, honest advice, always. Innovation: never ordinary, moving and growing with you. Excellence: no challenge is too big. Heart: cared for people deliver great care. If those read like how you already work, we would like to meet you.

How to apply

Send your resume and a short cover note to Jess Greville at *******@grevillehr.com. Tell us about a time you took on a new client, site or business unit and what you changed in the first ninety days, and tell us how you use artificial intelligence in your work. Applications close Sunday 25 October 2026. We review applications as they arrive and may appoint before the closing date.

Pre-employment checks for this role include a National Police Check or ability to obtain, NDIS Worker Screening Check or ability to obtain, reference checks and confirmation of the right to work in Australia. GrevilleHR is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds.
