Role Overview The Lead Solution & Application Architect translates business and client requirements into
secure, scalable and supportable technology solutions . You’ll provide architecture leadership across applications, Microsoft cloud, SaaS, data, integration, identity, cybersecurity and infrastructure. The role spans the full lifecycle from
discovery and presales through solution design, implementation assurance and transition into managed services .
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical and business discovery with clients, stakeholders, delivery teams and vendors.
Translate requirements into
end-to-end solution architectures .
Define current, transition and target-state architectures.
Assess and rationalise application portfolios, identifying opportunities to retain, replace, consolidate or retire systems.
Design solutions across
Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Business Central, SaaS and line-of-business applications .
Define APIs, integrations, data flows, identity controls and system dependencies.
Produce architecture diagrams, high-level designs, solution concepts, decision records and roadmaps.
Support
presales, tenders, proposals, estimates and Statements of Work .
Establish architecture standards, reference architectures and governance controls.
Identify technical risks, dependencies, technical debt and design exceptions.
Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, resilience, monitoring and support requirements.

What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a
Solution Architect, Application Architect, Integration Architect or similar .
Strong background designing complex, end-to-end technology solutions.
Experience modernising application environments across Microsoft, SaaS and enterprise platforms.
Strong understanding of
integration, APIs, data, identity, security and cloud architecture .
Experience with architecture governance, standards, decision records and design assurance.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to
C-suite, clients, vendors and technical teams .
Commercial and presales experience across discovery, proposals, tenders, estimates or SOWs.
Strong focus on designing solutions that are
secure, scalable, operationally supportable and commercially viable .
Experience within an
MSP, systems integrator or technology consultancy .
Healthcare or other regulated‑workplace experience.
Knowledge of HL7/FHIR or healthcare platforms.
Experience with application rationalisation, acquisitions, migrations or transformation programs.
TOGAF, SABSA, ITIL, ISO 27001, Essential Eight or Zero Trust knowledge.
Microsoft/Azure architecture certifications.

technology, clients, commercial teams and delivery , helping shape major technology decisions and ensuring solutions transition successfully into operational environments.
The role offers significant exposure to
enterprise architecture, digital transformation, Microsoft technologies, presales and client advisory , while working closely with senior stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
