We are looking for a reliable Sushi Kitchen Assistant to support our morning production team and help us deliver fresh, high-quality sushi every day.
The Role
Working alongside our Sushi Chef , you will help prepare ingredients, roll sushi, package products, and support a smooth morning production period before the lunch rush.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on kitchen work, takes pride in presentation and cleanliness, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare vegetables, proteins, sauces, fillings, toppings, and other ingredients.
- Assist with rice preparation and kitchen production tasks.
- Roll sushi to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Package, label, and arrange products for sale.
- Restock preparation areas, packaging, and supplies throughout the shift.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and food-safe workspace.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Assist with deliveries and stock storage where required.
- Support the Sushi Chef and Manager with day-to-day kitchen operations.
What You Bring
- Experience in food preparation, sushi production, or a commercial kitchen is required
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions consistently.
- Valuable attention to detail and presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy production periods.
- Reliability and availability for weekday morning shifts.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong cleanliness and organisation skills.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
