Your new company
Join a well-established Local Government organisation delivering a diverse pipeline of civil infrastructure and capital works projects. With projects across roads, footpaths, parks, public domain and traffic infrastructure, this is an opportunity to move into a client-side role and represent Council on-site.
Your new role
As Construction Supervisor, you will act as Council’s representative on-site, monitoring contractors and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting regular site inspections
- Supervising and monitoring contractors
- Monitoring WAS and environmental compliance
- Monitoring quality and progress of works
- Preparing progress and site reports
- Photographing and documenting completed and ongoing works
- Maintaining accurate project records and documentation
- Using mobile/tablet-based systems for inspections and reporting
- Liaising with contractors, project managers and internal stakeholders
Projects will include roads, footpaths, parks, traffic infrastructure and other civil capital works.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous construction supervision or site supervision experience
- Solid civil construction or infrastructure background
- Experience in roads, drainage, footpaths, public domain or similar civil works
- Good understanding of WHS and environmental requirements
- Experience supervising and working closely with contractors
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Confidence using tablets and electronic reporting systems
- Current driver's licence
- Local or State Government experience is highly regarded. However, candidates from contractor-side civil construction backgrounds will also be considered
