Hays is seeking an experienced Senior Risk Advisor to join a large project-focused organisation undergoing significant growth and transformation. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in establishing and embedding risk management practices across a diverse portfolio of complex projects. Working within a collaborative project controls and performance team, you will help drive a proactive risk culture while supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
This position is offered as an initial six-month temporary contract with strong potential for extension and is suited to a senior risk qualified who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders and influencing project outcomes.
Your new role

- Lead and facilitate risk workshops with project teams and stakeholders
- Establish and strengthen risk management frameworks, processes and reporting
- Develop and maintain risk registers, controls and treatment plans
- Provide strategic risk advice across a portfolio of projects and programs
- Identify emerging risks, trends and opportunities for improvement
- Deliver risk reporting and insights to support management decision-making
- Coach and support teams to improve risk management capability and maturity
- Build strong relationships across technical and operational stakeholder groups

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will demonstrate:

- Significant experience in project, operational or enterprise risk management
- Background within engineering,



construction, infrastructure, utilities or other project-driven environments
- Proven experience establishing risk frameworks and governance processes
- Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Exceptional communication, presentation and influencing capability
- Ability to provide both strategic advice and hands-on risk support
- Relevant qualifications in risk management, engineering, project management or a related field highly regarded
