Are you an experienced Accounts Officer who enjoys variety and working in a busy finance environment?

Robert Half is recruiting for an Accounts Officer to join a large, established organisation based in Welshpool on an ongoing temporary basis.

Working as part of a busy finance team, you'll be responsible for supporting both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. This is a excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, can manage a busy workload and is comfortable working across multiple areas of transactional finance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Processing supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment
- Preparing payment runs and reconciling supplier statements
- Managing Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, receipting and payment allocations
- Following up outstanding debtors and resolving payment queries
- Completing bank and account reconciliations
- Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies
- Liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers and customers
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end processes
- Assisting the wider finance team with additional tasks as required

About You:

- Previous experience in an Accounts Officer or similar transactional finance role




- Solid experience across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Confidence managing a high-volume workload
- Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail
- Good Excel skills and experience using accounting or ERP systems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
- A team-focused attitude and willingness to get involved wherever needed
- Availability to commence at short notice
