Girton Grammar School is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable full time Senior School Teacher – Psychology & Humanities to join our Senior School team.

This exciting opportunity is suited to an educator who can inspire curiosity, critical thinking and academic excellence in students across Psychology and Humanities. The successful applicant will teach across Years 7–10 Humanities and VCE Psychology, delivering engaging and evidence-informed learning experiences that foster a deep understanding of the world and human behaviour. The role requires a commitment to the principles of Explicit Instruction and the Science of Learning.

About the Role

The successful applicant will:

- Teach Psychology and Humanities across Years 7–12, including VCE Psychology.
- Deliver high-quality curriculum aligned with the Australian Curriculum and VCAA requirements.
- Create engaging learning experiences that promote critical thinking, analysis and inquiry.
- Differentiate learning to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum design and teaching practice.
- Participate fully in the pastoral, co-curricular and wider life of the School.

About You

You will demonstrate:

- Experience teaching Psychology and Humanities, including the capacity to teach VCE Psychology.
- A strong understanding of evidence-informed teaching practices, including Explicit Instruction and the Science of Learning.
- Excellent classroom management and relationship-building skills.
- A commitment to student wellbeing, inclusion and child safety.
- Strong communication, organisational and ICT capabilities.
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
