About You
As a Diverse Learning Coordinator , you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. The position is a 1-point promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent. You'll bring:
- expertise in Diverse Learning Needs, with additional teaching areas advantageous
- engaging, rigorous, planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
- the ability and experience in developing individual learning plans that include learning adjustments, post-school support,
enrolment in discrete or life skill courses, special provisions and work placement
- a highly team-oriented approach and ability to build the collective and individual capacity of the Diverse Learning Support team
- experience with programming and assessment design, reporting and feedback
- data and evidence-based approaches to foster school improvement
- exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective contemporary pedagogies
- proven ability to differentiate instruction, cater for the diverse needs of learners and personalise learning for students from Year 7 to Year 12
- formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
- a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
- ability to support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
- excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being
- strong classroom management and student well-being focus
- ability to create inclusive, rigorous learning experiences
- a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation
- secondary education experience and qualifications in Diverse Learning Support
- Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
