About us

The Video Conferencing Coordination Unit (VCCU) supports the work of the Sentence Management Division within Corrections Victoria and is responsible for the coordination of all video conferences/Audio Visual Links (AVL) where a prisoner is involved, including but not limited to: court appearances (TeleCourt), conferences with legal representatives and court ordered assessments.

The VCCU operations are between 7am-7pm Monday to Friday and 7am-4pm Saturday and Sunday. The position is a fixed line across weekdays with specific work days by negotiation.

What you will do

As Video Conferencing Officer, you will coordinate video conferences involving people in custody.

You will work with prison staff, courts, lawyers and other service providers.

You will:

- keep accurate schedules for court appearances and legal conferences
- provide timely information about prisoner locations and bookings
- manage bookings in the AVL Scheduler and use prison resources well
- record clear data, correspondence and booking information
- give practical advice and basic help with video conferencing issues.

About you

There are no mandatory qualifications for this role.



You will need to complete the required pre-employment checks.

You should also have:

- strong scheduling skills that help you manage changing work and priorities
- clear thinking that helps you solve problems and make sound decisions
- flexibility and teamwork when working with people across different services
- inclusive communication that respects people from different backgrounds.
