We are seeking experienced Media Specialist * 3 to provide strategic media advice across a complex and high-profile environment.

As a Media Specialist, you will work closely with senior media colleagues, executives, Ministerial Offices and government stakeholders to deliver high-quality media content and strategic communications. You will manage competing priorities, respond to emerging issues and provide clear, timely advice in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and deliver proactive and reactive media strategies, including responses to sensitive and high-profile issues.
- Prepare high-quality media statements, announcements, briefing materials and supporting collateral in line with established processes.
- Monitor media and identify emerging issues, risks and opportunities, providing timely advice and recommendations.
- Coordinate media events and public engagements for senior executives and government officials, including preparation of speaking materials.




- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, Ministerial Offices, media colleagues, government agencies and key stakeholders.

Key Skills and Experience

- Demonstrated media, journalism or public relations experience, preferably within government or another complex and high-profile setting.
- Solid experience in issues and crisis management, including identifying potential risks and developing appropriate media strategies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate and compelling content under tight deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide strategic media advice and build trusted relationships across government and senior leadership.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage high volumes of competing work and respond effectively to urgent media matters.
