Company: A global OEM specialising in high-speed automated packaging and processing equipment for the FMCG industry is expanding its Australian service team.
Supporting major food and beverage manufacturers across Australia and the wider APAC region, the business designs, installs, commissions and services highly automated production and packaging lines.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for an Electrical / Automation Service Technician to join their East Coast service team.

Pay & Shift Structure
- Base salary $95k–$115k ($50-$58 p/h) + super
- Huge overtime earning potential
- Day shift predominantly
- Project work can involve 10-12 hour days
- Work patterns vary around installations, servicing and scheduled customer projects
- Working away from home for 3 weeks at a time
- Additional penalties and allowances
The Role
This is a field-based electrical and automation service position supporting high-speed FMCG production and packaging equipment.
Travel is a major part of the position, supporting customers across Australia, New Zealand, Papua Current Guinea and the Pacific Islands. Some projects can require you to be away from home for up to three weeks at a time.
Where possible, work will be scheduled within your home state, however you need to be comfortable with regular domestic and international travel.
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician with electrical licence
- Australian or NZ citizen
- Strong industrial electrical fault-finding experience
- PLC fault finding and diagnostics
- Experience working with automated machinery
- FMCG, food, beverage pharmaceuticals or high-speed manufacturing experience
- Previous OEM field service experience advantageous
- Comfortable travelling and being away from home for up to 3 weeks
- Keen to undertake international technical training
- Looking to commit to a role for 3+ years and take advantage of the significant training, technical development and career progression the company invests in its technicians
