Cycle House is seeking a skilled and dedicated Bike Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis at our Greensborough location. In this role, you will be at the heart of our operations, providing expert maintenance, repair, and assembly services to keep our customers' bicycles in peak condition. As a Bike Mechanic , you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the high standards that define Cycle House. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will directly impact customer satisfaction and the reputation of our business.

Key responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance tasks including brake adjustments, gear tuning, wheel truing, and tyre repairs
- Conduct comprehensive bike inspections to identify mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs
- Assemble new bicycles and components according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Diagnose complex mechanical problems and implement effective solutions
- Maintain accurate service records and document all repairs completed
- Provide knowledgeable advice to customers regarding bike maintenance, upgrades, and care
- Keep the workshop organised, clean and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained
- Stay updated with the latest bicycle technology, components, and repair techniques
- Work efficiently to meet service deadlines whilst maintaining the highest quality standards

What we're looking for

- Completed apprenticeship or equivalent formal training in bicycle mechanics or a related trade
- Proven experience working as a Bike Mechanic in a busy workshop environment
- Strong technical knowledge of all bicycle types, including road bikes, mountain bikes, hybrid bikes, and e-bikes




- Proficiency with mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment used in bike repair
- Knowledge of current bicycle components and drivetrain systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong customer service abilities and the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Physical capability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive hand movements
- A passion for bicycles and the cycling community
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
