We’re looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our teams, strengthen operational performance and support our growing manufacturing operations.

This is a hands‑on role with responsibility for people, safety, quality and production delivery. Clear communication is essential—you’ll connect teams across shifts, maintain consistent expectations and ensure priorities and issues carry through every handover.

You’ll have considerable autonomy, particularly on weekends, making sound decisions across operational and people matters while working closely with leadership, planning, quality and maintenance.

Regular working week

Your regular working week will be 38 hours across four days:

- Thursday and Friday: 7 hours each day
- Saturday and Sunday: 12 hours each day

What you’ll be doing

- Lead production, staffing and line priorities to deliver the plan safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards
- Maintain effective shift handovers and clear communication across day, afternoon and night teams
- Coach frontline leaders and team members, building capability and accountability within a multicultural workforce
- Manage attendance, performance and other people matters fairly and consistently
- Take ownership of workplace safety, food safety and quality standards, including HACCP, GMP, incident response and corrective actions
- Monitor production attainment, OEE, downtime, waste and labour efficiency, turning performance data into practical actions and clear business reporting
- Work with planning, quality and maintenance to resolve operational issues and improve reliability




- Investigate recurring problems using root cause analysis and structured troubleshooting, and follow through on continuous improvements

About you

You’re a proactive, well‑organised leader who brings a balanced approach to people and production. You stay composed under pressure, make considered decisions and follow through on commitments.

You understand the different needs of day, afternoon and night shifts and can adapt your leadership approach while maintaining consistent standards.

You’ll bring

- Proven production or manufacturing leadership experience within food or FMCG
- Experience managing multiple shifts and leading a multicultural workforce
- Excellent written and verbal communication, from team briefings and difficult conversations to accurate management reporting
- Strong emotional intelligence, self‑awareness and resilience
- Confidence working autonomously and making sound safety, quality, operational and people decisions
- Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/MRP systems, with the ability to translate numbers into actions
- Practical safety management, food quality and investigation experience
- An inquisitive, solutions‑focused approach and a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong business acumen, with an understanding of production costs, labour efficiency, waste and customer commitments

Experience in Lean manufacturing and measurable improvements to OEE, downtime or waste will be highly regarded.
