About the role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Crop Technician / Grower to join our team at Sprint Horticulture Pty Ltd in Peats Ridge, NSW. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your horticultural expertise in a energetic and progressive growing environment. As a Crop Technician / Grower, you will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal crop health, quality and yield through expert cultivation, monitoring and management practices. Your contributions will directly impact our production efficiency and the superior quality of our crops.

Key responsibilities

- Monitor crop health and development throughout all growth stages, identifying and addressing issues promptly
- Manage irrigation systems and nutrient delivery to ensure optimal growing conditions
- Implement and maintain disease and pest management protocols in accordance with industry best practices
- Conduct regular crop inspections and maintain detailed records of growing conditions, treatments and yields
- Perform cultivation tasks including planting, transplanting, pruning and harvesting as required
- Operate and maintain greenhouse equipment, growing systems and related horticultural machinery
- Prepare growing media and manage propagation activities




- Collaborate with team members and management to optimise growing techniques and share knowledge
- Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations within the growing facility
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and adopt new horticultural technologies and methods

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working in a horticultural production environment, with solid knowledge of crop cultivation and management
- Strong understanding of plant physiology, crop nutrition and integrated pest management
- Proficiency in operating greenhouse systems, irrigation equipment and standard horticultural machinery
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and observations
- Physical capability to perform manual horticultural tasks and work in outdoor and indoor growing environments
- Knowledge of safety protocols and willingness to maintain high standards of workplace health and safety
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Relevant horticultural qualifications or certifications (such as courses in crop production or horticulture) are highly valued
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible growing practices
