We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team, taking responsibility for the accounting and financial reporting of our landfill operations.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail and a high level of ownership and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
Complete balance sheet and bank reconciliations
Prepare journals, accruals and month-end adjustments
Review revenue, expenditure and cost allocations
Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
Maintain accurate fixed asset and capital expenditure records
Support year-end reporting and external audit requirements
Work closely with operational teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information
Identify and resolve accounting issues proactively
About You
CA/CPA qualified or working towards qualification
Strong financial accounting and month-end experience
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong understanding of accounting principles
Takes ownership and accountability for work
Organised with the ability to meet deadlines
Proactive and clear communicator
Able to work independently and as part of a broader Finance team
Experience within landfill, waste management, construction, property or a multi-entity workplace will be highly regarded.
