The opportunity
You will provide high-quality specialist care to patients with complex general medical and geriatric needs across:
- Acute and subacute inpatient services
- Ambulatory and outpatient care
- Community-based programs
- Virtual models of care
- Multidisciplinary clinical services
The position is pivotal in developing contemporary models of care for frail older people. You will provide senior clinical leadership, contribute to clinical governance and service improvement, and support the education and supervision of junior medical staff.
You will join a welcoming multidisciplinary team where your expertise in both General Medicine and Geriatrics will be highly valued—and where you can make a visible difference to patients, services and the wider community.
Private practice potential
The successful candidate may also have the chance to establish a private practice outside their public appointment, with potential assistance including:

Exceptional remuneration and benefits
The total remuneration package is valued at up to $564,548 per annum , including:
- Base salary of $223,136-$282,912 per annum
- Employer superannuation contributions of up to 12.75%

Essential requirements
Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain:
- Specialist registration with AHPRA
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, or recognised equivalent specialist qualifications
- Specialist qualifications and experience in General Medicine and Geriatric Medicine
