We are currently seeking experienced MIG Welders, First Class Welders, and Boilermakers for multiple upcoming and immediate-start opportunities across Melbourne’s Northern and Western Suburbs .
We partner with leading local manufacturing, pre-cast, and modular building operations that maintain steady workflows and robust site pipelines. From heavy structural fabrications to fast-paced production yards, we have a range of long-term roles suited to trade-qualified and highly experienced welders looking for consistent, local work.
TYPICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT & DUTIES
- Modular & Heavy Structural Fabrication: Heavy structural MIG welding for modular buildings and structural steel projects.
- Pre-Cast Concrete Reinforcement: Fabrication and welding of reinforcement cages, plates, steel components, and concrete wall panels.
- Specialized Materials: Working with structural steel, sheet metal, and galvanised steel across various shop settings.
- Door Jams & Bathroom Pods: Production welding and assembly of frames, door jams, and prefabricated pods.
- Plan & Drawing Interpretation: Reading and interpreting complex workshop drawings and engineering specifications.
- Site Safety & Autonomy: Attending morning Toolbox Talks, adhering to site safety protocols,
and maintaining an organized workspace.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive Pay: $45 - $55 per hour + Super (negotiable based on experience and role complexity).
- Strong Overtime: Penalty rates apply (time-and-a-half & double time) with generous shift allowances where applicable.
- Weekly Pay: Reliable, on-time weekly payroll structure.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade) or equivalent Boilermaker/Welding qualification highly desired (non-qualified candidates with extensive, proven industry experience are also encouraged to apply).
- Solid MIG Welding Background: Proven production or structural MIG experience (galvanised steel or pre-cast experience is a strong advantage).
- Tickets & Safety: Valid Construction Industry White Card and full PPE (Steel cap boots, Hi-Vis, Hard hat, Welding helmet).
- Drawing Skills: Demonstrated ability to read and weld directly from fabrication drawings.
- Reliability: Valid driver's licence and reliable transport strongly preferred.
