Lawyer (2-3 PQE) - Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Lawyer with 2-3 PQE to join a highly regarded Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety team in Sydney. Working closely with a respected Partner and an experienced team, you will advise a diverse client base on a broad range of employment, workplace relations and safety matters. The role offers exposure to both advisory and litigation work, however the practice is predominantly advisory in nature , making it ideal for a lawyer who enjoys building trusted client relationships and providing commercially focused solutions.

The Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety team is highly regarded and advises clients across a broad range of industries on employment, industrial relations and workplace safety matters. The team works closely across offices, creating a collegiate and collaborative environment where lawyers are encouraged to develop their technical skills, client relationships and commercial acumen.

About the Role





You will work across a broad spectrum of employment and workplace relations matters, including:

- Employment and workplace relations advisory work
- Workplace investigations and compliance matters
- Performance management, disciplinary issues and terminations
- Equal opportunity, discrimination, bullying and harassment matters
- Enterprise bargaining and industrial relations issues
- Work health and safety advice and incident management
- Drafting and negotiating employment agreements, policies and workplace documentation
- Employment aspects of corporate transactions and business restructures
- Fair Work Commission claims and employment disputes
- Regulatory investigations and workplace litigation mattersClient training, seminars and thought leadership initiatives

You will enjoy regular client contact from day one and be encouraged to take increasing ownership of matters as your skills and confidence develop.

About You

You will ideally have:

- 2-3 years' post-admission experience in employment or workplace relations law
- Robust drafting,



analytical and legal research skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesConfidence interacting directly with clients and building strong relationshipsA commercial and pragmatic approach to legal problem solvingStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing prioritiesA proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of your workA genuine interest in developing a long-term career in employment law

Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys working closely with clients, asks questions, takes initiative and is eager to continue developing your technical and commercial skills within a supportive team environment.
