Draftsperson & Estimator - $45.00 per hour + Company Car + Fuel Card.
Bayside Joinery is looking for an experienced Draftsperson & Estimator to join our growing team.
With over 25 years in business, Bayside Joinery is a well-established cabinet making company specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of custom cabinetry across both residential and commercial projects.
Operating from our purpose-built 1,000m² factory in Redland Bay, we offer a clean, modern working workplace equipped with quality machinery, CNC technology and efficient manufacturing systems.
This is primarily an office-based role, with site visits required for measuring, client consultations and project management.

The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting and estimating residential and commercial joinery projects
- Preparing detailed drawings for client approval and factory construction
- Producing accurate cutting lists and information for CNC production
- Reading and interpreting architectural plans, specifications and scopes
- Completing site measures when required
- Liaising directly with clients, builders, suppliers and our production team
- Assisting with project management from initial quoting through to production and installation
- Ensuring drawings, specifications and pricing are accurate before jobs enter production
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Strong experience and technical knowledge of cabinetry/joinery
- Experience with cabinetry drafting/design software
- Previous experience in a Draftsperson, Estimator or similar joinery role
- Strong ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously while also being part of a team
- A reliable attitude and strong work ethic
- Pride in producing accurate, high-quality work
