Are you a confident, customer-focused person who enjoys sales, building relationships and working in a hands-on trade environment?

Designer Tile Company is looking for a Trade Sales Consultant to join our Springvale team.

This is a varied, full-time position working with builders, tradies, renovators and retail customers , combining trade sales and customer service with showroom and warehouse support.

You’ll be dealing with customers, preparing orders, helping select products, answering enquiries and working alongside our showroom and warehouse teams.

If you're currently working in building supplies, hardware, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, plumbing, timber, stone or another trade-related industry, we'd love to hear from you.

About the role

You’ll be an important part of our trade sales and showroom team , helping customers with their product requirements from enquiry through to order collection.





Your day may include:

Trade Sales & Customer Service

- Assist trade customers with product enquiries and orders

- Build strong relationships with builders, tradies and repeat customers

- Recommend suitable tile and associated products

- Prepare quotes and sales orders

- Answer phone and in-person enquiries

- Assist retail customers when required

- Develop your knowledge of our products and ranges

Showroom Support

- Assist customers with product selection

- Maintain displays and product presentation

- Merchandise and replenish showroom displays

- Support the showroom team during busy periods

Warehouse & Trade Counter

- Pick and prepare customer orders

- Load customer vehicles and deliveries

- Receive and put away stock

- Assist with stock control

- Operate a forklift

- Keep the trade area and warehouse organised, clean and safe

This is a hands-on sales role — you'll spend part of your day talking to customers and part of your day moving around the showroom, trade counter and warehouse.

About you

We're looking for someone who is:

- Confident and comfortable dealing with customers

- Friendly, approachable and professional

- Reliable and punctual

- Organised and able to multitask





- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

- A valuable communicator

- Confident using computers and basic sales systems

- Physically capable of working in a warehouse environment

- Happy to get hands-on and help wherever needed

- Interested in learning about tiles and building products

- A team player who takes pride in their work

Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:

Building supplies | Hardware | Tiles | Flooring | Kitchens | Bathrooms | Plumbing | Timber | Stone | Landscaping | Trade sales | Retail sales | Warehouse/customer service

Tile industry experience isn't essential — we'll train the right person.

A current forklift licence is preferred, however training can be provided for the right candidate.

Hours

- Full-time position

- Monday to Thursday 6.30/7.30am start

- Includes Saturdays (9:00 am – 3:00 pm)

- Rostered Day Off every Friday

- Standard 42.5-hour week

- Springvale location with onsite parking
