We are seeking an experiencedQualified Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop team at our Wingfield facility. This is anautonomous, hands-on role working on a modern fleet of heavy vehicles, reporting directly to theWorkshop PM Shift Supervisor .
About the Role
You will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of heavy on-road trucks, ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and NHVR compliance standards. The role suits a self-motivated mechanic with strong diagnostic capability and experience working independently.
You will work across a fleet that includesVolvo, Scania, Iveco, and Isuzu vehicles.
- Diagnose, service, and repair heavy on-road trucks
- Perform mechanical fault finding and breakdown repairs
- Ensure compliance with NHVR and safety standards
- Work with hydraulic and CANbus systems
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- CurrentHR Licence
- Robust diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Sound knowledge of NHVR standards
- Auto electrical knowledge
- Experience in the waste industry
- Exposure to hydraulics and CANbus systems
