The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a large, highly regarded privately owned organisation on a 15-month fixed-term contract providing maternity leave cover.
Working as part of a collaborative and supportive finance team, this role will suit an experienced AP professional who enjoys taking ownership of their workload and working in a hands-on environment. The successful candidate will also play an key role in supporting the team through a D365 transition, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to process improvements and systems optimisation.

The Challenge
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the responsibilities will involve but not be limited to:
- Managing the end-to-end accounts payable function
- Managing a volume of 30-40 invoices daily, with components of manual data entry
- Setting up and maintaining existing suppliers and reconciling supplier statements when required
- Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs and completing ad hoc payments when required
- Performing bank reconciliations, monthly credit card reconciliations, and monitoring daily cash flow
- Supporting the team through the transition to D365 and assisting with process improvements
- Working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve queries and ensure timely payments
- Assisting with ad hoc finance tasks as required
The Expertise

- 3-5+ years of experience in an end-to-end accounts payable position
- Process improvement mindset and ability to take ownership of workload
- Experience working in a complex processing environment
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication skills, with confidence liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with D365, or exposure to a similar ERP system, will be highly regarded
- Full Australian working rights and comfortable committing to a 15-month fixed-term contract
- Availability to commence mid-late October
