About the role
The Club Manager is accountable for the operations of the Club and is responsible for a number of key outcomes of the associated business. The position plays a significant role in planning, drives sales and profitability, provides leadership, supervision and development to Club staff and manages/oversees personal training contractors. As Club Manager, you set the culture. You'll lead from the front, keep your team motivated, and make sure every member walks in feeling welcome.
Key responsibilities
Welcoming new and existing members with warmth and enthusiasm
Driving sales and hitting KPIs to grow the membership base
Marketing management to drive membership growth, including social media and local community outreach
Recruitment of gym staff, personal trainers and group fitness instructors
Administration work including but not limited to reporting, budget planning and contractor invoicing
Leading from the front and keeping your team motivated
About you
Are people-focused and highly organised
Have experience in building/recruiting a personal training team
Have experience building a club culture to be proud of and gain satisfaction from operating, selling and promoting an exceptional fitness facility
Are comfortable on camera and happy to start conversations with current people
Are punctual, reliable and available to work until 7pm
Minimum Certificate III in Fitness or the ability to attain an equivalent qualification
Current First Aid certificate and CPR (or higher qualification)
Appropriate police/working with children check
Tertiary qualifications in health, business or commerce, or strong business acumen and demonstrated experience in a similar environment (e.g. fitness, retail), will be highly regarded
Experience in, or understanding of, human resources and work health and safety processes (desirable)
Work in a fun, upbeat atmosphere where every day is different
