The Role
We are looking for an Underwriting Administrator to join our Perth team.
Reporting to the General Manager, WA, you will provide day-to-day administrative support to the underwriting team, helping facilitate quotes, renewals, endorsements and broker enquiries. You will play an important role in delivering accurate, timely and professional service to our brokers and clients while supporting the team to develop and maintain a profitable portfolio.
This is a great opportunity for someone with robust administration and customer service skills who is looking to build or continue their career in the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quotes and claims histories
- Produce and issue non-financial endorsements
- Follow up on new business and renewal quotes
- Respond to broker and customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Provide accurate and high-quality administrative support to the underwriting team
- Manage incoming phone calls and emails
- Maintain documents and files within relevant systems
- Liaise with internal teams to support effective service delivery
- Build positive working relationships with underwriters, business development managers, brokers and other stakeholders
- Complete activities in line with agreed service standards and delegated authority limits
About You
You will be organised, customer-focused and comfortable working across a range of administrative tasks. You will also bring:
- Previous administration experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive organisational and problem-solving skills
- The ability to manage priorities and work with minimal supervision
- A willingness to learn and contribute to a supportive team environment
- Previous experience in an underwriting agency or the insurance industry will be highly regarded
