1st Year Apprentice Civil Construction | Full time | Western Sydney | Starting early 2027

Ever looked at an excavator and thought, “I want to drive that”? If you love being outdoors and want to earn while you learn a trade, this apprenticeship is for you.

JK Williams Group is a well-established and highly regarded Tier 2 civil construction company based in Western Sydney. We’re looking for a motivated Apprentice Civil Construction Worker to join our team full-time from early 2027.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work alongside experienced operators on large civil construction sites around mobile plant and machinery. Day to day you’ll be:

- Digging trenches
- Laying ag line and culverts
- Learning to operate mobile plant





You’ll get to work across a range of projects, including residential subdivisions, civil infrastructure and road construction – so no two weeks look the same.

Who we’re looking for

- A genuine interest in civil construction and working around machines
- A can-do attitude and the drive to learn and improve
- Good at following directions and communicating clearly
- A team player who works well in a small crew
- Committed to safety (WHS) on site
- Happy to take on all tasks set by your Site Supervisor
- Willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime
- Keen to attend classes and complete your study
- Committed to finishing a three-year apprenticeship
- Able to read and interpret basic plans (don’t worry – we’ll train you)

The must-haves

- Year 10 completed (ROSA)
- WHS Industry Induction Card (White Card)
- Australian permanent residency or valid work rights
