If you're a skilled boilermaker who enjoys variety, problem-solving and being able to stand back at the end of a job and be proud of what you've built or repaired, this could be a excellent fit.
ST Engineering is a busy, established engineering business based in Kilsyth. We work across earthmoving machinery, heavy equipment, attachments, heavy vehicles and custom engineering projects – which means no two weeks in our workshop look quite the same.
We're growing and looking for another experienced Boilermaker/Fabricator to join our workshop team.
What you'll be working on
This isn't production-line fabrication.
One day you might be carrying out a major repair on an excavator or attachment, the next fabricating a custom component, repairing cracked or damaged equipment, modifying a heavy vehicle or working on a completely different engineering project.
Your work will include:
- Heavy fabrication and welding
- Earthmoving machinery and attachment repairs
- Crack and structural repairs
- Custom fabrication and modifications
- Heavy equipment and component repairs
- Cutting, fitting, grinding and preparation
- Reading and working from drawings
- Occasional field repairs
It's a role where you'll actually get to use your trade skills, think through jobs and solve problems rather than simply repeat the same fabrication work every day.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for someone who knows their trade and takes pride in their work.
You'll need to be a trade-qualified Boilermaker/Fabricator with solid fabrication and welding experience.
You'll be a great fit if you:
- Take pride in producing clean, high-quality work
- Have strong fabrication, fit-up and welding skills
- Enjoy repair work and solving problems
- Can confidently work from drawings and measurements
- Are comfortable working independently and taking ownership of a job
- Care about getting the job right the first time
- Are reliable and enjoy being part of a small workshop team
- Experience with earthmoving equipment, heavy machinery, attachments or heavy vehicle repairs is a big advantage.
Why join ST Engineering?
- Variety. You're not stuck welding the same component every day.
- Interesting projects. You'll work on everything from earthmoving equipment and attachments through to custom fabrication, heavy repairs and specialised engineering jobs.
- Use your skills. We want experienced tradespeople who can think for themselves, solve problems and take ownership of their work.
- Small team. You'll be part of a close-knit workshop where everyone knows each other and your contribution actually matters.
- Long-term stability. We're an established and growing business with ongoing work across multiple industries.
Most importantly, we want people who enjoy coming to work, take pride in what they do and want to be part of a business producing quality work.
