About Us

Reliable Building Materials is a growing importer and distributor specialising in aluminium window and door hardware .

We supply builders, fabricators,



installers, trade customers and businesses across Australia. Our head office is in Sydney, with another branch in Brisbane, and we are continuing to grow.

We are a practical and supportive team and are looking for someone who wants to learn the business, develop their sales and customer service skills, and grow with the company .

About the Role

This is a varied, hands-on customer-facing role combining customer service, sales support, quotations, order processing and general operational coordination.

You will work closely with our sales and warehouse teams and gradually learn our products, customers and industry.

Please note that this is a hands-on role. Regular warehouse assistance is part of the day-to-day job, including organising stock and safely lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20kg.

Your day-to-day work will include:

- Assisting customers by phone, email and in person

- Preparing quotations and processing customer orders

- Following up quotations, enquiries and existing customers

- Providing customers with product information

- Keeping customers updated on their orders

- Supporting the sales team with daily activities

- Building positive relationships with existing customers

- Helping identify new sales opportunities





- Coordinating orders with the warehouse team

- Assisting with general warehouse duties, including stock preparation, organising and keeping the warehouse tidy

- Safely lifting and carrying stock/items weighing up to 20kg as part of normal duties

- Assisting with customer collections and local deliveries when required

Who We're Looking For

Experience is not essential . We care more about your attitude, communication and willingness to learn.

You may be a recent university or TAFE graduate, currently working in retail or hospitality, or already have some experience in administration, customer service, sales support or warehouse operations.

You should be friendly, reliable, organised and comfortable communicating with customers by phone, email and face-to-face.

Mandarin speaking ability is highly regarded. Good English communication skills are also important for the role.

You will also need a current Australian driver's licence and full working rights in Australia .

Previous sales, customer service, retail, building materials or warehouse experience is an advantage, but not required .

What We Offer

We offer $65,000 + super + commission , full training, ongoing support, a company phone, performance and commission opportunities, and a stable full-time position.

Most importantly, this is not intended to be a dead-end administration role.

For someone who performs well and wants to progress, there is a clear pathway into a Sales Representative / Business Development role , with greater customer responsibility and increased commission and earning potential.
