The Opportunity

This is the fifth year Mawsons are running our extremely successful Operations Cadetship Program. This is an exciting chance for young people aged 18-25 to complete a 10-month cadetship commencing in late January 2027. Our goal is to secure local talent and provide development opportunities and experiences to young people in the communities in which we work. Mawsons also welcomes applications from school leavers over the age of 18.

The successful candidates will be rotated through four of our primary operations areas; concrete, quarries, technical and workshops (mechanical & fabrication). Each cadet will be assigned a Mawsons mentor to provide meaningful, practical support and guidance throughout the cadetship.



During this hands-on program Cadets will have the opportunity to gain valuable industry experience, practical skills, training, and workplace knowledge from our friendly, professional teams whilst earning a competitive wage.

At the successful completion of the cadetship the objective is for each participant to be offered a suitable permanent ongoing role with Mawsons dependent on their skills, preferences, desired work location and the business needs at that time.

Essential Criteria

- Enthusiasm to work in the construction materials industry, interest in concrete & quarrying

- Current drivers licence (mandatory)
- Total commitment to workplace safety and quality
