About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant to join the team in Berrimah, NT. This is a part-time position , leading to a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to support our operations in the animal after care industry. As an Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our facilities operate smoothly whilst maintaining the highest standards of compassion for the animals in our care. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of service we provide to pet owners and their beloved pets.

Key responsibilities

- Assist with the day-to-day office enquiries and bookings
- Provide compassionate support to pet owners and address their enquiries professionally
- Assist with pet cremations and processes
- Drive the company van for collections and returns
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across all facilities and equipment
- Assist with record-keeping and documentation related to each pet
- Help coordinate reception and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations
- Assist in maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment
- Support the implementation of health and safety protocols across the facility

What we're looking for





- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact compassionately with both animals and people
- Physical capability to lift 25 kg, carry and assist with animals of varying sizes
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions carefully
- Reliability and a strong work ethic with the ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and talk to clients
- Previous experience in customer service industry is an advantage
- Must have a full driving license (automatic) and a police check
