H-E Parts Engineering are part of the H-E Parts International group, which is in turn a division of Hitachi. We provide machining services for Mining, Maritime, Oil and Gas and a variety of other commercial customers. Over the last 30 years, we have built a reputation of a consistentlyhigh level of service. Due to our growth and our recent purchase of a state-of-the-art workshop and new CNC Lathes and Milling machines, we have a fantastic chance for an experienced and enthusiastic Trades Assistant to join our Naval Base workshop .
About the role
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Forklift Driving
- Conduct general workshop/yard cleanliness, tidiness, and litter management
- Comply with instructions from supervision team.
- Maintain general tidiness in work area.
- Maintain proper time keeping practices

The successful applicant will be team oriented and capable with the following attributes:

- Mature attitude and self-motivation
- Ability to take direction and work well under pressure
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- A commitment to delivering a high standard of work
Successful applicant will also need to meet the following requirements:
- Hold a current class C driver’s license
- Hold a current forklift licence
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role, ability to climb stairs and ladders.
- Be able to use pallet jacks and trolleys and restock shelves
- Be available to work Saturdays and overtime as required
