- We’re on the lookout for a skilled digital content professional to join our Trans Health Equity team and support the maintenance and delivery of TransHub.
- This role will create and manage website, social media and campaign content that helps trans and gender diverse communities and their allies access trusted, evidence-based health information.
- This is a full-time position (70 hours per fortnight) based in our Gadigal (Surry Hills) office.

Ok, so what’s the role?
The Digital Content Officer – Trans Health Equity is essentially responsible for implementing social marketing campaigns across communications media, with a particular focus on social media and website content. You will:
- Research, create and publish website and social media content, including short-form video, graphics and other written and visual content.
- Work with community members, clinicians, translators and content contributors to ensure TransHub content is accurate, relevant and accessible.
- Develop and contribute to campaigns that increase awareness of TransHub and improve access to trans-affirming healthcare information.
Who are we looking for?
- Someone with tertiary qualifications and at least two years of postgraduate experience in marketing, communications, advertising, digital media or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and managing a social media content calendar.
- Experience with design tools such as Adobe Suite, Canva, or Figma.
- Experience in writing and editing content for CMS platforms, including Wordpress.
- Someone with lived experience of, or intimate community connection with, trans and gender diverse communities, and an understanding of current community needs and health priorities.

- Salary: Starting from $88,192.08 (Gross Annual Salary PLUS Superannuation and Leave Loading).
- Location: ACON’s Gadigal (Surry Hills), with flexible working options a possibility (away from the office).
- Hours: Full-Time on a 2 year fixed term contract with the possibility of extension.

Skills And Experiences
Essential:
1. Tertiary qualifications and a minimum of 2 years postgraduate work experience in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Digital Media or related field.
2. Demonstrated experience in creating and managing a social media content calendar.
3. Up-to-date knowledge of the digital content landscape including current trends and strong understanding of the role that each channel plays in the funnel.
4. Lived experience of, or intimate community connection with, trans and gender diverse communities and an understanding of current community needs and health priorities.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written and visual communication.
6. Experience with design tools such as Adobe Suite, Canva, or Figma.
7. Experience in writing and editing content for CMS platforms, including Wordpress.
8. Strong understanding of and commitment to working with ACON’s communities, including all LGBTQ+ people and people living with and affected by HIV.
Desirable:
1. Previous experience working within a marketing or creative agency
2. Experience working in other not-for-profits or for health-related clients
