As the business continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to play a key role in supporting the finance function and broader growth agenda.

Duties & Responsibilities

This is a broad role where no two days look the same. Working closely with an experienced CFO, you'll be involved across financial reporting, forecasting, compliance, treasury, business analysis and a variety of strategic projects.

You'll take ownership of month-end processes, management reporting and cashflow forecasting while helping to drive financial performance across a portfolio of businesses and assets. You'll also play a key role in budgeting, long-term planning, process improvement initiatives and supporting senior stakeholders with meaningful financial insights.

Responsibilities will include:

- Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Cashflow management, forecasting and treasury activities
- Annual budgets, forecasting and financial modelling
- Month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
- Tax, BAS and statutory compliance obligations
- Liaising with banks, auditors and external advisers
- Analysis of business performance and ad hoc commercial projects




- Supporting strategic initiatives and growth opportunities
- Identifying efficiencies and improving finance processes and reporting
- Providing hands-on support across a small, collaborative finance team

This position offers the prospect to step beyond a traditional financial accounting role and gain exposure to a wide range of business, commercial and operational activities.

This is an on-site position, 5 days a week in the Northern Beaches.

Your profile

You're a CA or CPA qualified accountant with either a Big 4/Mid-Tier audit background looking for your first move into industry or already established within a commercial finance role.

You'll combine strong technical accounting skills with a hands-on approach and the confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders in a lean, high-performing environment.

Ideally you'll have:

- CA or CPA qualification
- Audit, business services or financial accounting experience
- Strong financial reporting and compliance capability
- Advanced Excel skills
- High attention to detail and a proactive mindset
- The ability to operate autonomously and take ownership
