About the Role
We are seeking a talented and commercially minded Management Accountant / FP&A; Analyst to join our Head Office Finance team, based in Brighton-Le-Sands.
Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, this full-time role will oversee a portfolio of assets and play an significant role in providing financial insights, supporting operational leaders and contributing to strategic decision-making across the Group.
This is an opportunity to go beyond traditional accounting. You’ll work closely with venue managers and operational leaders to help them understand financial performance, while also contributing to budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, business cases and broader commercial initiatives.
With exposure across a diverse hospitality and property portfolio, no two days will be the same. We’re looking for someone who is commercially curious, analytically strong and enjoys turning financial data into meaningful insights that support better business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse end-of-month financial reporting and performance results
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders and venue managers, helping them understand and interpret financial results
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
- Support external audits, tax preparation and end-of-financial-year activities
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes across the Group
- Provide commercial analysis and support for decisions relating to pricing, labour costs and operational efficiencies
- Develop and enhance financial models to support scenario planning and business cases
- Assist with the financial evaluation of capital projects, acquisitions and new business opportunities
- Support finance system configurations, implementations and process improvements
- Prepare meaningful financial reports and analysis for internal and external stakeholders
- Identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement across the portfolio
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and commercial support as required
About You
- 3+ years’ experience in accounting, management accounting, FP&A; or a related finance role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into clear commercial insights
- Commercially minded with a genuine interest in how businesses operate and perform
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with non-finance stakeholders
- Proactive, adaptable and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Technologically confident with an interest in finance systems, BI tools and process improvement
- CPA/CA qualified or currently working towards a CPA/CA qualification highly regarded
- Experience in hospitality or property is advantageous but not essential
- Exposure to trust accounting, mid-tier ERP systems, point-of-sale systems or Microsoft Power Platform highly regarded
- Curious, solutions-focused and willing to challenge existing processes and identify better ways of working
