Full-Time, Permanent | $80,000 – $82,000 per annum + superannuation

About the Role

JK Bhangu Pty Ltd is looking for a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team on a full-time basis. You will be responsible for preparing and painting residential and commercial buildings, delivering a high-quality finish on every job and working safely in line with workplace health and safety requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

•Erect scaffolding and ladders, and lay drop sheets and protective coverings to protect surrounding areas

•Prepare surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, repairing minor woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces

•Sand, scrape, clean and prime surfaces before painting

•Select and prepare paints, varnishes and stains to achieve the required colours, finishes and textures

•Apply paints, varnishes, stains and protective finishes using brushes, rollers and spray equipment

•Apply multiple coats, allowing appropriate drying and curing times between coats

•Hang wallpaper, match patterns and accurately trim edges where required





•Inspect completed work and rectify any defects or imperfections

•Protect furniture, flooring, fixtures, windows and other surfaces during works

•Clean and maintain painting tools, equipment and work areas after each job

•Follow safe work practices, including when working at heights and handling painting materials

•Liaise with supervisors, clients and other trades to coordinate works and meet project specifications

•Carry out minor repairs and preparation work as required

About You

•Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (CPC30620) or an equivalent relevant qualification

•At least 1 year of experience as a Painter

•Sound knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation and finishing

•Valuable understanding of workplace health and safety requirements

•Able to work independently and as part of a team

•Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
