HairPop Man is a barbershop specialising in men's haircuts, beard grooming, traditional shaving and modern styling services.
The business is currently seeking an experienced Hairdresser/Barber for a permanent full-time position in Smithfield, QLD.
The successful candidate will provide professional haircutting, styling and grooming services while maintaining high standards of customer care, hygiene and salon presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Consulting with clients to understand their haircutting, styling and grooming preferences.
- Cutting and styling men's hair using scissors, clippers and other skilled tools.
- Performing traditional and modern haircuts, including fades and precision cutting.
- Providing beard trimming, shaping and shaving services.
- Washing, conditioning and styling hair using appropriate products and techniques.
- Advising clients on suitable hairstyles, haircare and grooming products.
- Maintaining consistent standards of haircutting, styling and customer service.
- Cleaning, sanitising and maintaining barbering tools,
equipment and workstations.
- Ensuring compliance with hygiene, sanitation and workplace health and safety requirements.
About You
- At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Hairdresser/Barber or in a similar professional role.
- Relevant hairdressing or barbering qualifications, or equivalent practical experience.
- Robust skills in men's haircutting, fades, styling and beard grooming.
- Good knowledge of professional haircare products and grooming techniques.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a busy barbershop setting.
- Good understanding of hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
