We’re opening a brand-new general practice in Nightcliff in January 2027 and are looking for a compassionate, team-oriented Registered Nurse to join us from the beginning.

About Progress Health & General Practice
Progress Health & General Practice is a new privately owned whole-person general practice and allied health clinic opening in Nightcliff, Darwin, in January 2027.

The Opportunity
As our Practice Nurse, you’ll play a key role in supporting patients across all stages of life while working closely with our GPs, Practice Manager, administration team and allied health colleagues.
Responsibilities may include:
- Chronic disease management
- Health assessments and care planning
- Immunisations and cold chain management
- Wound care and dressings
- Assisting with clinical procedures
- Non-acute mental health assessments
- Preventive health activities
- Patient education and follow-up
- Infection prevention and control activities
- Supporting accreditation requirements
- Quality improvement projects
- Maintaining clinical supplies and equipment
- Contributing to a positive, supportive team culture

- Part-time position
- Monday to Friday
- Approximately 26-32 hours per week (negotiable)
- Typical roster of around 6 hours per day
- Versatile daytime hours available and may suit applicants seeking school-friendly working arrangements
- Additional hours may become available as the practice grows

Selection Criteria
Essential
- Current, unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse (AHPRA)
- Minimum two years post-registration clinical nursing experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centred care
Interest in one or more of the following areas:
- Chronic disease management
- Primary mental healthcare
- Child and adolescent health
- Mental Health Care
Highly Desirable
- Previous experience in general practice nursing
- Experience with chronic disease management plans and health assessments
- Immunisation experience and/or recognised immunisation training
- Experience using Best Practice, HotDoc or similar clinical software
- Interest in preventive, lifestyle, integrative or functional medicine
