We are now seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high- quality engineering solutions across a diverse range of projects.
Your Role
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for undertaking engineering design, analysis, documentation and project coordination across residential, commercial and industrial developments. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to develop practical engineering solutions that meet Australian Standards, council requirements and project objectives.
Your Responsibilities
- Undertake civil engineering design and documentation for residential, commercial and industrial developments.
- Design and assess stormwater drainage systems in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and authority requirements.
- Undertake on-site detention (OSD) design and hydraulic calculations.
- Prepare stormwater management plans, drainage layouts and supporting engineering documentation.
- Coordinate LPOD requirements and connections to relevant water authorities and waterways.
- Assist with the design of rainwater tank storage, pump systems and stormwater outfall drainage.
- Apply water-sensitive urban design (WSUD) principles where appropriate to project requirements.
- Review site conditions, levels, drainage requirements and relevant development constraints.
- Undertake engineering calculations, technical assessments and design checks.
- Prepare clear and accurate engineering drawings, reports, specifications and supporting documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable Australian Standards, council requirements and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with clients, architects, builders, surveyors, authorities and other consultants throughout project delivery.
- Coordinate civil engineering requirements with structural, geotechnical and other engineering disciplines.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical advice relating to civil and drainage works.
- Review construction and engineering issues and provide practical solutions where required.
- Participate in internal quality assurance and design review processes.
- Assist with project planning, programming and coordination to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain accurate project records and technical documentation.
What We're Looking For
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
- Proven experience in civil engineering design, particularly within the building and development sector.
- Strong knowledge of stormwater drainage, hydraulic design and civil infrastructure systems.
- Experience with OSD, stormwater management and WSUD principles will be highly regarded.
- Understanding of Australian Standards, council requirements and relevant regulatory processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, survey information and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem- solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to engineering quality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Proficiency with relevant engineering design and documentation software.
- Commitment to professional engineering standards, safety, compliance and quality assurance.
