We are seeking capable and motivated academics to join the School of Architecture and Built Environment as Senior Lecturer in Property Management and Valuation. In this full-time continuing academic position, you'll contribute to the UTS Property programs and make a significant contribution to the national and international property environment. The School has a reputation for creating progressive, future-focused thinkers and leaders in the construction, property, planning and related industries.

Detailed Description

As a Senior Lecturer, you will contribute to high-quality teaching primarily within the Property Economics undergraduate degree program and related programs. You will work cooperatively with others across the School and Faculty, exploring and leveraging their ideas, opinions and involvement to further develop the participative, empowered environment in the School in teaching and learning, research and engagement. The School is in an exciting phase of growth and needs academics who can build on the discipline's research agenda.

The role is based on 40% teaching, 40% research and 20% service.

Key Responsibilities

- Teaching: Contribute to high-quality teaching primarily within the Property Economics undergraduate degree program and related programs.
- Program development: Contribute to refining and extending the UTS Property programs in line with professional body requirements, current market needs, enhanced student experience objectives and global trends.
- Research: Contribute to the School's research agenda through collaboration with others and lead your own research teams.
- Research engagement:



Actively present ongoing research to the Faculty and School and foster productive links with other scholars on the global stage.
- Collaboration: Work cooperatively across the School and Faculty to support a participative, empowered environment.

About You

Please supply qualifications, experience and attributes, e.g. PhD or equivalent, teaching experience, research profile, industry or professional body standing.

Remuneration

Base Salary Range: $158,406 to $181,907 pa (Level C)

This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

These positions are offered on a full-time, continuing basis.

Selection Criteria

- Demonstrated ability to develop and teach high-quality curricula at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
- Record of high-quality academic publications appropriate to the level of appointment.
- Demonstrated ability to create links with professionals and industry partners.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary and collegiate environment.
- Excellent communication skills especially in communicating with a diverse audience.
- Professional experience in Property Management and Valuation or related fields.
- Demonstrated leadership and previous experience in managing academic programs.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with professional bodies and other external stakeholders
