The Principal Research Scientist, Wildlife Ecology is a key science leadership position within the Arthur Rylah Institute (ARI), the Victorian Government's biodiversity research institute. This role involves undertaking and supporting scientific research to inform evidence-based policy and natural resource management. You will have the unique opportunity to mentor scientific staff and guide applied ecological research that is internationally recognised.
- Lead biodiversity research and project management in a agile team
- Support and foster an energetic science culture
- Guide strategy and develop future science capability at ARI
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications:
- A science degree (preferably PhD) with a major in ecology or equivalent is mandatory
- Experience in research management and coordination of multidisciplinary ecological teams
- Strong leadership,
communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
