We are seeking an experienced Domestic Loss Adjuster to join our agile team. Based in Sydney, this role is ideal for a professional who thrives working autonomously while managing a diverse portfolio of domestic property claims.
You will handle claims from initial instruction through to final settlement, working closely with insurers, brokers, and clients to ensure a timely and professional outcome. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in domestic loss adjusting,ideally with insurance or loss adjuster qualifications or be prepared to undertake such study.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end loss adjusting for domestic claims.
- Assess damages, determine liability, and provide detailed reports to insurers.
- Conduct remote site assessments (with occasional on-site visits as required).
- Liaise with insured parties, brokers, repairers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and company procedures.
- Manage claim costs effectively and negotiate settlements where appropriate.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports with clear recommendations.
Requirements:
- Experience in domestic property loss adjusting
- Strong technical knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and claim processes.
- High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously.
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence (for site visits)
- Diploma of Loss Adjusting (ANZIIF or equivalent) highly regarded but not essential.
