The CNC Operator is responsible for the precision cutting, drilling, and processing of sheet materials according to specific cutting lists. The Edgebanding Machine Operator is tasked with finishing the exposed, raw edges of the cabinet panels processed by the CNC machine to enhance both their durability and visual appearance.
Key responsibilities
- Loading raw materials onto the flatbed machine
- Selecting the pre-programmed files
- Constantly monitor operations to detect malfunctions
- Performs strict quality control checks to verify that all components match the technical shop drawings
- Managing waste chips
- Performing routine daily machinery maintenance
- Ensuring that all workplace health and safety (OH&S;) policies are rigidly followed
- Configuring and operating automated edgebanding equipment
- Feeding the panels through the machine, monitoring the automated pre-milling, gluing, pressure rolling, and trimming processes
- Carefully inspecting the finished pieces for defects like chip-outs or uneven edges
