Our client is a respected multi-disciplined engineering consultancy, part of a global engineering group, with a well-established team on the Sunshine Coast. They're looking for a Structural Engineer with around five years' experience in building structures to join them.

What makes this one different is the mix. You won't be put in a box. The work spans building and infrastructure projects, from smaller jobs you can own start to finish, through to large, complex projects you'd normally expect to be designed out of a capital city. You'll work on projects here on the Coast and across the wider region.

You'll also have far more behind you than a typical local office can offer. The building structures team is over 35 people solid, so there's always someone senior to test a design with, real technical depth to learn from, and specialist expertise across the wider national and international business when a project calls for it. Room to grow, without the Brisbane commute.

The Role

- Structural design of building projects, from concept through to detailed design: calculations, analysis models, sketches and reports
- Reviewing structural documentation and coordinating with architects, consultants and the wider project team
- Client and project meetings, plus site inspections




- Taking ownership of smaller projects and project elements, with support as you step up
- Exposure to infrastructure projects if you want the variety

About You

- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Around 5 years' experience in the structural design of building projects in Australia
- Sound technical knowledge in concrete and steel (timber and masonry a bonus)
- Chartered, or keen to work towards it
- Based on the Sunshine Coast, or ready to make the move
- Full Australian working rights. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
