Make an impact at the University of Wollongong (UOW) - a purpose driven institution ranked in the top 1% of universities globally.
About the Role
As Content Producer, you will create clear, compelling and on-brand content across UOW's marketing channels and campaigns. Working in the Creative Production team, you will produce written, editorial, social and multimedia content to brief, contribute practical ideas to campaign and editorial planning, and help tell stories that support recruitment, reputation and the University's strategic narrative.
In this role, you will:
- Produce high-quality content across formats, including copywriting, editorial, social, video, photography and multimedia.
- Generate and pitch proactive content ideas, identifying stories, trends and always-on content opportunities that engage audiences.
- Contribute to editorial and campaign planning, advising on format, treatment, audience and channel approach.
- Work with cross-functional marketing squads to deliver integrated campaigns and content initiatives.
- Apply audience, channel and performance insight to improve content quality and impact.
- Use brand, editorial and accessibility standards consistently, with curiosity about emerging content trends, tools and responsible AI-enabled practice.
About the Team
The Brand and Marketing Division shapes how UOW is understood, chosen and championed by students, partners and communities. The Creative Production team operates as the Division's in-house studio, producing content and design for campaigns, channels and priority initiatives.
You will work within a squad-based delivery model, taking direction from the Senior Manager, Creative Production and working closely with the Lead Content Producer, who leads editorial planning and craft standards for the studio.
The Division is evolving how it partners with faculties and portfolios, strengthens brand and reputation, and delivers high-quality marketing outcomes.
This is a practical, hands-on role in that model: making good content, bringing useful ideas, and helping the work land well.
What You'll Bring
- A degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training.
- Experience producing content across multiple formats, such as copy, social media, editorial, video or multimedia, in a marketing, communications or creative environment.
- Strong writing, editing or multimedia production skills, with the ability to produce clear, accessible and on-brand content to brief.
- The ability to identify valuable stories, generate practical content ideas and shape them for different audiences and channels.
- Curiosity about audience insight, content performance, emerging trends, production tools and responsible AI-enabled practice.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage concurrent work to deadlines in a high-volume production environment.
- Strong collaboration skills, including the ability to work in a team or squad, take direction and respond well to feedback.
